Join Our Boycott - The People's Sanctions

When you sign our pledge you are joining our boycott of everything American. This is not to cause harm to the American people directly. It is to reclaim our non-Americaness. It is to insulate yourself in advance for the day when there will be no America. The peoples of Europe imitated the peoples of the Roman Empire in culture and lifestyle for hundreds of years until its fall. Without Rome the satellite states collapsed and Europe descended into its Dark Ages from which it did not emerge until the Enlightenment.

The collapse of an empire will destroy all regions that live by imitating the center. If the center is unsustainable then the periphery is too. For our very survival we must stop pretending we are American. Their system is NOT a model nor an example that we must follow. Their Democracy is a one-party system with a charade played out every four years to pretend that the American people have a choice as to which identical candidates to vote for. The Soviet Union had voting as well - between multiple Communist Party Candidates. Look where that got them. You have no Democracy without a choice. Likewise, America does not have a free press. It has infotainment that insulates Americans from the truth.

An economic system is of no use to you if it won't last. A system based upon infinite growth on a finite planet is a recipe for disaster. The American way of life, the American Dream, is all about striving for the impossible. America is a man who has leapt from a 35 storey building. As he falls his confidence grows that he can fly. He is pursuing his dream to fly. The further he falls the more he believes that his flying is a "right" granted by God. As our man falls he encourages others to join him. Many do. Soon the air is full of falling bodies. They are so busy slapping themselves on the back they care little for the ground rushing up towards them. Occasionally men of greater wisdom will poke their heads from the windows of the building and scream "look out!" However, the fallers scoff at the warnings. They are far too clever to believe such nonsense. They can overcome any obstacle. Any warnings about this thing called the "ground" is nothing but conspiracy theories or some idea cooked up by evil people to stop them from flying. There is still a chance that some of those fallers may catch an updraft and land safely through an open window. However it is a choice they have to make. They have to look down and see the ground.

Therefore we must all boycott the American way of life. You must make that choice. Choose to see the ground. Choose to avoid it. Choose your way out. Choose a better form of democracy. Choose a free press. Choose a zero growth economic policy. Choose zero population growth. Choose to keep your troops at home. An Army is to defend your population at home. Revel in the differences between people. See strength in diversity. Choose yourself a future. Stop falling.

In "Making Globalisation Work" (2006) Joseph Stiglitz (former World Bank Chief Economist) suggested that the International Rule of Law requires enforcement. Action should be taken against countries who refuse to cooperate on such global accords as the Kyoto Treaty.  These things are too important to rely upon any country's good will. Trade sanctions should be imposed on the US if it fails to comply. It should no longer have a veto on world affairs and go unpunished. Any recalcitrant country or rogue power must behave responsibly no matter how big they are. Under WTO Rules Europe is being disadvantaged by the indirect subsidy going to US business (through Kyoto compliance) therefore have the right to impose import duty on US goods. It is only necessary to calculate the cost of US non-participation and make them pay whether they want to or not. This way Globalisation can be made to work for the benefit of al countries rather than the detriment of the many. Sadly we live in a world where the US-dominated WTO would rather see the planet fry than do anything against the US.

Countries are caught in a collective fear. They are held to ransom by this Imperial Grand Strategy. Since harming the US Economy is thought to plunge the entire world into recession no country wants to take the lead on this matter. The US is the consumer-of-last-resort. We pay them to buy our stuff just so we can earn those petrodollars. Pulling the plug on the US is terrifying to the Bankers and Traders in the global centres of world finance. Matters have to be taken into the hands of the people. It is sanctions that are required so let them be the people's sanctions. Stop buying American goods and services now if you want your independence.

Sign Our Declaration of Independence

I, the undersigned, pledge that from this day forth I will reject all American values, and those of its close allies. I recognise no human progress in their economic growth. I see no justice in their Trade Agreements. There is no future in their culture of consumption and exclusion. In future I will only recognise and support those people and organisations that are working for a fairer share of this planet's diminishing resources. There is no equality in your form of Democracy. In fact it is no Democracy at all. I will no longer buy American goods. You are ostracised. A rogue nation long in need of regime change. You do not exist. Your currency has no value. Your history is not my history. Your future is not one I care for. Your people are always welcome in my home but not your dogma & patriotism. You are a nation born in the genocide of your native people. A Nation steeped in the myth of its special place in God's creation. There will be no place for you in His Heaven. I will follow the development model of His most humble and meek. You have made enemies of the weak and poor. You have made no friend in me. You have crushed my fellow man with your weapons and stood astride the world in your arrogance and bigotry. I will not visit your shores nor your shops. I will not support your wars of conquest over other people's possessions. I will speak up for the dispossessed. I will stand up for those you have bullied, the lives you have taken, the livelihoods you have stolen. I will build democracy in the places where you have snuffed it out. In short, I reject you and everything you stand for. There is a better place and a better way. I will dedicate my life to seeking this better way and excluding you from the thoughts and dreams of my children. You are their nightmare and I will keep them safe from you. They are citizens of this World and own an equal share in its future. They are no more than the lesser of our brothers and sisters in far-flung places. This is OUR Declaration of Independence from America.

The Lakota Indians

In 1886 the Treaty of Fort Laramie was the very model of relations between the US and its indigenous peoples. Sadly, just 6 years later the US broke the Treaty after Gold was discovered the Black Hills belonging (by Treaty) to the Lakota Indians of South Dakota. The US Government took it back by force. Even today the Indians consider themselves in a Sate of War with the US Government. In December 2007 the "Lakota Freedom Movement" informed the State Department, and several Embassies, that their Nation was pulling out of their Treaties with the US Government and would declare independence. They would issue their own passports and anyone could become a citizen if they gave up US Citizenship. This new Lakota Nation would be tax free with a decentralised Government. A Turkish Lawyer offered to be their first Ambassador abroad whilst the Nation of Islam, evangelical Christians, libertarians and US patriotic movements all expressed interest in becoming citizens of this, the world's newest nation. Lakota's Capital "City" will be the village of Porcupine (pop 407).

The spokesman for the Lakota Freedom Movement, Russell Means, stated that the idea came to them after the UN adopted the Sept 07 Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The non-binding declaration states that such peoples have the right to determine their own politics, economics, social and cultural development. Only four countries voted against the declaration. The US was (of course) one of them despite the fact that it is Constitutional based upon Article 6 of the US Constitution. Means goes on to explain that they had tried various ways over the years to survive as a people. They had tried protests, petitions voting and the courts. "It didn't work." he said. "We are at risk of disappearing as a people. The Colonial Apartheid system does not work for us."

The youth suicide rate of North American Indians is 150% of the average whilst one third don't finish High School. People live off food rations whilst the reservations are gripped by alcoholism. Infant mortality is the highest in North America. Healthcare, Education and Housing budgets have all been raided by Federal Government to the point where the local budget per person is half what Federal Prisoners get. A local resident called Arlette expressed her anger and said "What have I got to lose?"
